Willow Grove Chiropractor
Dr. Rosemary McCormick DePasque

I knew from the first time that I was adjusted that I would become a chiropractor.

I was a very sick child, but I never complained about being sick, I only complained of backaches. Finally, at age 13, x-rays were taken, but the doctor said that there was nothing wrong with my spine. When a chiropractor looked at the x-ray, he showed me that instead of being straight, it had a bad s-shaped curve.  After my first adjustment, I felt the first bit of relief in my back that I had ever felt. Becoming a chiropractor was an instant decision. I have never regretted it.

A Chiropractic Education

I always wanted to help people, and when I learned that chiropractic could help people to not only feel better, but be healthier, it was a natural choice. After four years at Rutgers, it was off to chiropractic college in South Carolina, where I met my husband, Dr. Scot McCormick. We studied around the clock, and our grades showed it. We were both able to graduate magna cum laude.

Most people are surprised to learn that chiropractors study the same number of hours as medical doctors. Because it is a drug-free profession, we don’t study the pharmaceuticals, but we do study radiology, because we take our own x-rays. People are also surprised when we tell them that we studied cadavers. It is fascinating to see first-hand how the body works. It seemed like an experience that everyone should have at least once. I remember that we felt so sorry for people whose lungs were as black as coal from smoking, and for people whose hearts were so large because they were obese. We also wished that everyone in the world could see that people are identical without skin.

Our Mission

It is the mission of our practice to adjust and educate as many families as possible with natural chiropractic care. We pride ourselves on being thorough, and encouraging our patients to participate in the correction of their spine. Our patients are taught how to maintain healthy posture, how to stretch, how to exercise and how to check the spines of other people! We also enjoy teaching many aspects of natural healthcare. Every Tuesday evening at 6:30 we have a health talk on all types of health topics. It is so gratifying for us when patients get relief from care, but even more than that, when they notice that they are healthier under regular care.

Dr. Scot and I practiced in Pittsburgh right out of chiropractic college.  We moved to Johnstown after a few years, where we raised our two children. We found ourselves in Northeast Philly in the late 90’s, and finally, we were able to purchase this beautiful practice from our mentor in 2004. Time flies when you are having fun, and it is certainly true for us. Each day, we get to help people recover from all sorts of conditions without the use of drugs and surgery. We also enjoy being with family and friends, and watching our children perform as actors and singers

In order to live life to the fullest, we believe that people should strive to be as healthy as they can possibly be. For us, this means getting adjusted at least once per week, exercising regularly, and being strict with our diets on a daily basis. We juice green vegetables every morning and eat a low-fat, low sugar, low gluten diet. We avoid medications and take natural remedies and supplements. We love when our patients do the same!

I hope I get the opportunity to meet you in person to discuss your health challenges. Feel free to give our Willow Grove office a call, or email me with the link below.
